Her Bon Iver-like softness makes her hard to resist. Mree is her name. She’s a Jersey girl with a deep sense of passion and understanding and yet she’s only eighteen.

A cover song is hard to come by nowadays, because she is so busy writing her own angelic tunes.  This song, although far beyond her years, still comes off perfectly.  And to think that she was only sixteen when she recorded it.

Shannon Saunders not only has alliteration going for her. Hey unique, indie style puts her in a category of musicians that only Youtube can hide. Thankfully the tube found her all the way in the United Kingdom and brought her to us.

John Legend would be proud to hear this cover of “Ordinary People” because Shannon is anything but ordinary singing it. The technicality in her phrasing where she places her breaths is so crisp and effortless.
