lessons in inspiration / 05
Some of my most inspiring moments have been brought to life when I’ve emptied myself.
I’m a pretty private person and pride myself on being able to keep my emotions and thoughts to myself. But recently, I felt like my emotions/thoughts cup was reaching it’s full capacity. Often, my wise friend reminds me that it’s completely okay to let that cup flow. Sometimes I need to talk life out, even when I don’t want to. And though this talking can feel uncomfortable, it is through discomfort that I find refreshment.

Dear readers, it is important that we have meaningful conversations with people around us, our friends, the people we do life with. Conversation can spark friendship, resolution, retrospection and inspiration. Talking with people can clarify a situation, bring a new perspective and inspire you to try new things. And who doesn’t want all that?
Your assignment: have a conversation. Talk with a long-lost friend, a long-distance friend, a new friend, just someone! Be real with this person, let them know what’s going on, share where life isn’t perfect, and encourage each other. Then, listen! Listen to their thoughts, what’s going on in their life and enjoy sharing in community. Who knows, after that conversation you might be inspired to finally start that project you’ve been dreaming or press send on that certain email!
