make a stache stamp
I made this cute little stamp a while ago – thought I’d share the process with you guys!
You can find a template including the mustache shape and text at the end of this post.
A little back story: Chris grew a stache. At first it was a joke but it got serious very quickly. The creature was the topic of way too many conversations. Naturally, I made fun of it brutally. So to make up for all the hate, I decided to give the stache a little love. A stache support box, in fact. It included a poster, calendar, book and little lovely little stamp. Excessive? Nahhh.
All you’ll need to make a basic stamp: a rubber eraser and exacto knife.
Okay here we go! Print and cut out the template. Align the stache shape and cut straight down along the edge of the shape - try to keep a smooth edge.
After you’ve cut all the way around the edge, turn the eraser on it’s side and and cut up to the mustache shape – be careful not to cut off any of the shape.. be especially careful around the little wings.. they’re tricky suckers. After you’ve hacked off most what you need to.. you can work on smoothing it out a little. But don’t worry, no one expects this to be perfect. It’s supposed to feel a little homemade, right? ;)
Everything else is optional! You already have a stamp. If you want to add the text, but like me aren’t super confident in your handwriting skills, you can use some mod podge to glue the printed text on the back of your stamp. Not cheating at all!
Now this part made me nervous, I must admit. I got a little excited and impatient and I almost ruined my whole project. But don’t let me scare you away from trying! I have faith in you. After you miraculously fit your twine/string through the needle, GENTLY make a hole in the eraser and pull the twine through and tie it up! I knew you could do it. ;) If your hole splits a little, mod podge can fix anything!
Ladies and (probably not) gentlemen, I give you the stache stamp.
This would totally work with any shape! Get creative with it. It would make a cute little gift or a fun crafty project.
I’d love to see what you do with this! Leave a comment below with your project and let me know how it goes. :)

I actually stamp the occasional item at work with my stache stamp. Let’s people know I’m paying attention.
Haha! Awesome. :)
